About Vacuum Dried Jackfruit
Golden jackfruit bulbs, vacuum dried until honeyed and chewy. Seedless, bite-sized and ready to eat.
Why vacuum dried
A whole jackfruit is large, hard to cut and its sticky latex is unpleasant to handle. Drying takes all of that away and leaves ready-to-eat pieces.
Drying is done at low temperature under vacuum rather than with heat, which is why the colour, shape and aroma of the raw produce stay recognisable. Fruit is handpicked, washed and sliced, dried, then packed by farmers in barrier bags with a modified atmosphere.
